Calling all Parents for Michigan Coupon Club! - Coupon Workshop

**Limited to 25 participants**
The Michigan Coupon Club offers opportunities for families to learn to be strategic shoppers through a coupon class.MCC teaches ethical coupon use and encourages giving back. This 90 minute workshop includes an instruction booklet for each family,helpful tips and ideas, and a coupon packet.

Baffling Bill, the Magician - "Dream Big: Magic of Reading Show"

This exciting 40 minute program features amazing magic that encourages children to "Dream Big...READ!" Baffling Bill and his magic rabbit "Gus the Bunny" incorporate elements of illusion, comedy, and audience participation to promote summer reading.
Genot "Winter Elk" Picor - Métis Storyteller

The world is filled with people and creatures big and small, with stories to tell of courage, imagination, and creativity. Discover how coyote helped to make the stars. Find out how little hummingbird saved the summer sun, and other tales. Genot uses puppets, voice, music, movement, sign language, and dance to stimulate the imagination of every young reader.
Mark Criley - Illustrator and Artist

Learn to draw your own cartoons with Published Illustrator Mark Crilley. In this fun and fast-paced program Mark shows kids who to draw a wide variety of simple cartoons, ranging from a super-cute kitten to a rockin' robot. The emphasis is on showing kids how much can be done with just a few simple lines, leaving them with a strong sense of achievement and the understanding that truly anyone can create cartoons. Kids will love the workshop closer, in which everyone present joins in to help Mark draw a one-of-a-kind alien creature, with everything from its head shape to its nose and ears decided by the attendees.
Science Alive! - Live Animal Presentation

Science Alive is always a hit at the library! A biologist and a collection of exotic critters invade the library attracting curious kids of all ages! Hands on contact with parrots, turtles, snakes, or maybe even a chinchilla is sure to stimulate further learning!

The Bubbleman - "Bubbleology"

This program is filled with bubbles that perform in a magical manner. Big bubbles, small bubbles,square bubbles, and even bubble sculpture! The Bubbleman demonstrates bubble making with the assistance of the audience and shares his bubble creation secrets.
